The City of Oskaloosa is accepting bids for removal of snow and ice accumulations from residential sidewalks found to be in violation of Oskaloosa Municipal code 12.12.140. Bids will be based on a per lineal foot of sidewalk cleared within 24 hours of notification from the Oskaloosa Fire Department.
Sealed bids can be sent to the Oskaloosa City Clerk's office at 220 South Market Oskaloosa, IA 52577. Bids must be received by November 16th, 2020 at 3:00 PM local time. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud on November 16th, 2020 at 3:05 PM local time. All bids sent to the Clerk's office must be in a sealed enveloper and marked "Sealed bid: Snow removal, Open November 16, 2020 at 3:05 p.m."

Contractor Responsibility’s:

-Contractor shall remove all snow and ice from the property sidewalk

-Contractor shall complete work within 24 hours of notification.

-Contractor shall determine where the property lines are approximately

-Contractor shall utilize its own labor, equipment and materials necessary to perform contracted services to the City’s expectations

-The snow removal proposal is for the 2020/2021 season

Bids shall be accepted until 3:00 PM CST, November 16th, 2020 in the City Clerk’s office, City Hall, 220 South Market Street, Oskaloosa, Iowa.  

Bids will be opened at 3:05 PM CST, November 16th, 2020 in the lower level conference room of City Hall.  

The City of Oskaloosa reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
