City Council Appoints Interim City Manager

At the October 4, 2021, Oskaloosa City Council meeting, Amy Miller was appointed interim city manager.

Miller has been with the city of Oskaloosa for 29 years, serving as deputy city clerk for 18 years and appointed city clerk/finance director in January 2010. She has worked closely with City Manager Michael Schrock in developing and managing budgets, administering employer-employee relations, and working collaboratively with elected bodies, department heads and employees. As interim city manager, Miller will manage the city’s daily operations beginning October 27 as Schrock leaves to join the city of Ankeny, Iowa.

“The Council has full trust and confidence in Amy’s ability to lead in this time of transition,” said Mayor David Krutzfeldt.

The City Council directed the mayor to execute an agreement with a search firm and anticipates appointing a fulltime city manager near the beginning of the year.
