Operating Hours at Oskaloosa Brush Drop-Off Site

Beginning Saturday, July 25, Oskaloosa’s brush drop-off site on Suffolk Road will return to normal posted daytime operating hours. Open hours are weekdays from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm, and weekends (Saturday & Sunday) from 7:00 am to 1:00 pm. The site will be closed outside of those hours, and also closed on holidays.

There are increasing challenges facing the city in processing and disposing of the large quantities of material entering this site. We feel normal operating hours may help us better manage the material and allow us to keep the facility open and available to residents. We apologize for any inconvenience due to this change.

As a reminder, the drop-off site is for Oskaloosa residents’ yard waste only. Please only deposit brush, limbs, and leaves at the site. No contractors, trees, stumps, concrete, or trash of any kind. Please empty and remove all bags, and please do not dump any material outside the gate when the site is closed. Violators will be prosecuted. Your help in following these rules is greatly appreciated.

Other material and items not accepted at the brush site may be acceptable for drop-off at the Mahaska County Landfill located just south of town at 2979 Highway 63. Please contact the landfill with questions at 641-673-9266.
