Project Description
The City of Oskaloosa is planning to replace the failed pavement along the roads in the Meadow Creek subdivision, which includes West Glendale Road, Caldwell Place, and McMullin Drive. This project includes the reconstruction of approximately 9,135 square yards of PCC pavement, 764 feet of storm sewer pipe, and 1,097 square yards of PCC sidewalk. Project Benefits
The pavement in this area is failing and is in need of reconstruction. The new sidewalks will provide a safe connectivity for residents to the existing trail entry on Glendale Road.
Project Status
This project has been awarded to Drish Construction, Inc. The contractor is currently working on Phase 3 of the project, including Caldwell Place and McMullin Drive north of the intersection with Caldwell Place. A map of the construction phasing is available here. Residents at the north end of McMullin Drive will need to utilize the access road from Cowen Avenue to reach their properties.
The paving work on West Glendale Road, Caldwell Place, and on McMullin Road between these roads has been completed, and the roads are open to general traffic. There is remaining sidewalk and cleanup work along Caldwell Place, and the section of McMullin Drive north of Caldwell Place is currently under construction.
