Meadow Creek Pavement Improvements

A reminder to residents that West Glendale Road is still closed to traffic, and residents should not bypass construction barriers. Vehicles entering the work zone will be reported to the police department.

Project Description

The City of Oskaloosa is planning to replace the failed pavement along the roads in the Meadow Creek subdivision, which includes West Glendale Road, Caldwell Place, and McMullin Drive. This project includes the reconstruction of approximately 9,135 square yards of PCC pavement, 764 feet of storm sewer pipe, and 1,097 square yards of PCC sidewalk. Project Benefits

The pavement in this area is failing and is in need of reconstruction. The new sidewalks will provide a safe connectivity for residents to the existing trail entry on Glendale Road.


Project Status

This project has been awarded to Drish Construction, Inc., who have begun work on Stage 1 of the project. A map of the construction phasing is available here.

West Glendale Road will be closed for construction effective Monday, May 10th at 8:30 AM. Residents will need to use the access road from Cowen Avenue beginning on that date. 

Access to residents and services will be maintained during construction utilizing a temporary access road connecting from Cowen Avenue.

Project Cost:
Engineering - $119,000.00

Construction - $1,177,248 (Awarded March 1, 2021)
