The city of Oskaloosa would like to remind residents that the discharge of consumer fireworks other than novelty fireworks are prohibited with the city limits of Oskaloosa.
Novelty fireworks are considered to be sparklers and ground sparking items like you find at stores such as Walmart.
For those who live in areas that fireworks are legal to discharge, we remind you to never mix alcohol and fireworks and also to keep out of the hands of children.
