Project Description

The City of Oskaloosa has determined that improvements are needed to the Northeast and Southwest Wastewater Treatment Facilities. The project includes replacing the existing grit removal systems, replacing the digester boiler, replacing the mechanical air handling systems, and structure rehabilitation of the wet wells as well as other associated improvements. The plans for the project can be seen below.

Project Benefits

This project will benefit the City by ensuring that DNR effluent standards are met as well as improving the safety of workers in the treatment facilities


Project Status

Bids for this project were opened on February 8, 2019, and will be acted upon by the City Council on March 4, 2019.

Engineers Estimate of Project Cost

Design Costs: $133,200.00

Inspection Costs: $143,900.00

Construction Costs: $1,290,000.00

Total Estimated Construction Cost (Final): $1,335,793.40
