Project Description
Through an inspection process, it has been determined that the sanitary and storm sewer several areas of the City of Oskaloosa has begun to fail, causing high inflow and infiltration. The phase 3 project is the second of several projects that have been planned in order to provide effective and reliable sanitary and storm sewer service to residents. The project includes sewer pipe lining, manhole reconstruction, manhole rehabilitation, and manhole invert repairs. The plans for the project can be seen below.

Project Benefits
Residents currently using sanitary and storm sewer services in these areas will benefit directly as a result of this project. This project will also reduce the inflow and infiltration of excess water into wastewater treatment facilities, which will reduce long-term operating and maintenance costs.
Project Status
Bids for this project were opened on March 13th, and Alternate 5 of Division 2 of the project was awarded to Visu-Sewer, Inc. by the City Council on April 1st, 2019. Working days for this project began on June 3, 2019, and a total of 230 working days have been allotted for the project. The Division 1 and Division 3 work was not awarded at this time due to exceeding the available budget, and the City plans to rebid the project in the fall.
