North C Street Curb and Gutter Replacement Project
North C Street from C Avenue West to College Avenue
This project involved the construction of new concrete curb and gutter, ADA sidewalk and ramps, and alley and driveway approach improvements.
The contractor began this project on June 26th and ended on August 4th.
The existing block style curb was replaced with new 2' wide, 8" thick concrete curb and gutter. The new curb and gutter provides improved safety and stormwater flow along North C Street. In addition, the ADA sidewalk improvements at the intersection of D Avenue West provide greater pedestrian access and mobility.
This project was awarded to TK Concrete Inc. on May 15, 2017 for $134,520.00 with a total contingency of $13,450.00. TK Concrete began construction on June 26th and ended on August 4th for a total of 29.5 working days out of the 40 allowable. City streets division staff completed the asphalt patching along the new curb and gutter on August 16th. Hydro seeding took place along the entire project on September 20th.
