Wastewater Division

The Wastewater Division is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the sanitary and storm sewer systems. This Division is under the direct supervision of David Neubert, Public Works Director. There are six full-time operators and one full-time lab technician. Some of the responsibilities of the Wastewater Division include:

• Operation and maintenance of the sanitary and storm sewer collection systems.
• Operation and maintenance of the City's two wastewater treatment facilities .
• Operation and maintenance of seven lift stations.
• Operation and maintenance of the sewer lagoon system.
• Operation of the industrial pretreatment system at Oskaloosa Food Products.
• Performing laboratory analysis for treatment facilities plus industrial and commercial contributors.
• Performing roadside mowing of City owned property and lots and recreation trail.
• Receiving 10 to 20 contact hours of training per state certified operator.
