Street Division>FAQ's

Who do I contact about a problem with my street?

You can contact David Neubert, Public Works Director, by phone at 673-6885, Ext. 28 between the hours of 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday thru Friday, or by e-mail at david.neubert@oskaloosaiowa.org.

How often does the Street Division sweep the streets?

Sweeping of residential streets is normally done twice, once in the fall after a large percentage of the leaves have fallen and once in the spring to pick up accumulated sand from snow removal operations.

Who is responsible for trimming trees between the sidewalk or property line and the curb?

The owner of the abutting property is responsible to keep the trees on or overhanging the street trimmed so that all branches will be at least fifteen feet above the surface of the street and eight feet above the sidewalk.
