Street Division

The Street Division is responsible for the maintenance of the City's street and alley system and rights-of way, municipal-owned parking lots, various other activities, and also maintenance of the City's vehicle and equipment fleet. The Street Division is under the direct supervision of Akhilesh Pal, Public Works Director.

 

Listed below are the areas the Street Division is responsible for:

• Street maintenance and reconstruction – seal coat program, pothole repair and crack sealing
• Snow removal of City-owned streets, parking lots, and sidewalks
• Street sweeping
• Painting – line striping, turn arrows, curb painting, and school crossings
• Ditch cleaning
• Road grading
• Traffic signs – installation, maintenance, replacement
• Traffic signal malfunction
• Trees or tree limbs down in street
• Sidewalk or curb repair
• Special Collection Week (furniture, appliances, tires, etc.)
• Fall leaf collection
