Engineering

The Engineering Department is responsible for design and construction of the City's public works infrastructure, maintaining city maps and plats, and operation and maintenance of the streetlight and traffic signal systems. This includes:

• Survey, design and inspection of reconstruction and construction projects.
• Mapping of the City's street, sanitary sewer and storm sewer infrastructure.
• Mapping of new subdivisions.
• Maintenance of City's zoning map.
• Maintenance of the City's plats.
• Maintenance of the traffic signal systems.
• Location of sanitary sewer and storm sewer infrastructure for Iowa One Call.
• Inspection of driveway approach and sidewalk construction.
