Project Description
  • The scope of this project includes new concrete street with curb and gutter and storm water improvements.  
  • This project has not yet been awarded.
  • Construction activity is anticipated to begin in the summer of 2016.

Project Benefits
This section of Burlington Road is currently paved with chip seal.  The new concrete street will provide a more durable pavement surface.  In addition, storm sewer improvements will reduce water drainage problems along this section of roadway. 
Project Location
  • Burlington Road from South 17th Street (Hwy 23) to the East City Limits    

Project Status
This project will be funded by an 80/20 matching funds grant.  The grant was awarded to the City of Oskaloosa by the Iowa DOT.  This project has an anticipated summer of 2016 construction start date.  It will be constructed as part of University Park's Burlington Road Reconstruction Project.  It has not yet been determined how long the construction activity will last.

           City Portion (20% of the project):     $37,000
          DOT Portion (80% of the project):   $148,000
                               Total Project Cost:  $185,000
