The placement of political signs is restricted.

As a public service announcement, the City of Oskaloosa would like to remind all residents that political signs cannot be placed in the city right-of-way and must be removed no later than one week after the election.

Oskaloosa Municipal Code 17.30.030 – General sign and Street graphics regulations:

Political Campaign Signs - Signs announcing candidates seeking public political office or pertinent political issues. Such signs shall be confined to private property and shall be removed within one week following the election to which they pertain.

Also, you cannot place, attach, secure, post or construct an advertising or informational sign(s) on public property within the city limits of Oskaloosa without prior approval and permit from the city of Oskaloosa.  This includes garage sale, yard sale, graduation, party, wedding, etc. signs. This also includes attaching signs to road signs in the city.
